Jordyn Benattar is a lawyer and an award-winning public speaker and actress who dedicates her career to helping others succeed by learning to speak well. 

 

As a national public speaking champion, Jordyn represented Canada at world tournaments and earned international recognition in such categories as persuasive speaking, impromptu speaking, dramatic interpretations, radio speech, and after-dinner speaking. After earning her coaching certification at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), Jordyn began helping others realize their full potential as confident, effective, and memorable speakers.

 

Jordyn’s affinity for speaking before large audiences began with her career as an actress in film and television. Her performances have earned her a CAMIE Award, a Gemini Award (Canadian Screen Award) nomination, and a Young Artist Award nomination.

Jordyn graduated with Honours from Queen’s University, where she was awarded the Gold Medal in Sociology and the Prince of Wales Prize as the University’s top B.A. student. She also studied journalism, acting, and communications at New York University, and was a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship. As an expert in communication, speaking and messaging, Jordyn has worked in fashion public relations, academia, book editing, news media, the venture capital arena, and the legal field. 

 

Jordyn completed her JD/MBA at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law and Rotman School of Management. She was the Silver Medalist of her JD/MBA graduating class. She previously worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York and Goodmans LLP in Toronto. Jordyn is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. 

With a background in law, business, and on-camera performance, Jordyn's approach to speech coaching is well-rounded, authentic and thorough. Her enthusiasm and talent for empowering others to speak well is unparalleled.

Passionate about the arts, Jordyn spends her free time writing and recording songs, attending concerts, and predicting Oscar winners.
